1. Introduction.
Soca Services is a professional painting company that provides high-quality interior and exterior painting services for both residential and commercial clients. By hiring Soca Services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Scope of Work.
Service Description: Soca Services offers painting services which include, but are not limited to, surface preparation, priming, painting, and cleanup.
Estimates and Quotes: All quotes provided by Soca Services are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Additional work or changes requested by the client after the estimate will require a new quote.
3. Payment Terms.
Deposit: A deposit of [35%] is required upon acceptance of the quote, prior to commencement of work.
Payment Methods: Payments can be made via bank transfer, cheque, or cash.
Payment Schedule: Full payment is due within [7] days of completion of the project. For larger projects, a payment schedule may be established, with payments due at various stages of the project.
Late Payment: A late payment fee of [2%] per month will apply for any overdue payments.
4. Cancellation and Refunds.
Cancellation by Client: The client may cancel the project at any time before work begins. However, deposits may be non-refundable if materials have been purchased or work has commenced.
Refund Policy: Once the job is completed, Soca Services does not offer refunds unless there is a significant issue with the quality of the work.
5. Warranties and Guarantees
Soca Services guarantees its workmanship for [2 Years]. This warranty covers defects in the application of the paint but does not cover wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by external factors such as weather conditions.
6. Materials.
Soca Services will use only high-quality paints and materials, unless the client specifies otherwise. Any client-specified materials will not be covered by our standard warranty.
7. Site Access and Responsibilities.
Access: The client must provide adequate access to the property during the project, including water and electricity.
Safety: The client is responsible for ensuring that the work area is free from hazards or obstacles that could cause injury to the workers.
Protection of Property: Soca Services will take reasonable measures to protect the client’s property during the project, but it is recommended that the client remove or protect valuable items in the work area.
8. Completion Timeline.
Soca Services will provide an estimated timeline for project completion. While we strive to meet deadlines, delays may occur due to weather, unforeseen conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. The client will be informed of any changes to the schedule.
9. Changes to the Contract.
Any changes to the scope of work, materials, or project schedule must be agreed upon in writing by both parties and may result in a change to the total cost of the project.
10. Liability
Soca Services is insured for public liability, but any damage to property caused by the client or third parties will not be covered by our insurance.
Soca Services is not responsible for any delays or damages resulting from acts of God, strikes, or other unforeseen events.
11. Dispute Resolution.
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.
12. Privacy Policy.
Any personal information collected by Soca Services (e.g., name, address, contact details) will be used solely for the purpose of providing our services and will not be shared with third parties without the client’s consent.
